Softball Recap: Lakeside Lancers vs. Perris Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rancho Verde, Lakeside was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Perris Panthers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Adryanna Alvarez made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Alvarez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Natalie Franco was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Reese Fisher, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lakeside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Lakeside's record now sits at 5-12. As for Perris, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will challenge Chaparral at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Perris, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Moreno Valley at 3:15 p.m.
