Volleyball Recap: Canon City Tigers vs. Centaurus Warriors
The Canon City Tigers lost 3-0 to the Centaurus Warriors on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-17.
Canon City's offense was headlined by Ben Slabaugh and Jack Hudson, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Micah Paschall and his nine assists. Finally, Hudson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Centaurus was led to victory by Braden Walls and Josh Schmeckpeper. Walls had nine digs and one assist, while Schmeckpeper had five digs and two aces.
Canon City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Centaurus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Coming up, Canon City will be playing at home against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centaurus, they will venture away from home to face off against Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
