London wins going away against Kenton Ridge

Recap: London Red Raiders vs. Kenton Ridge Cougars

The London Red Raiders won the last time they faced the Kenton Ridge Cougars, and things went their way on Saturday too. London strolled past Kenton Ridge with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. Given London's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Kenton Ridge is ranked 697th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Kenton Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Summer Swords dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Swords continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

London's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Kenton Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. London will take on Tecumseh at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kenton Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Jonathan Alder at 7:30 p.m.
