Softball Game Preview: Round Lake Panthers vs. Grant Community Bulldogs

Round Lake is 0-10 against Grant Community since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Round Lake has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Round Lake is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Antioch, falling 15-1.

Round Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Berry, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. Nari Bates also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Grant Community made easy work of Grayslake North on Tuesday and carried off a 21-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Round Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Grant Community, their win bumped their record up to 13-8-1.

Round Lake might still be hurting after the 21-1 defeat they got from Grant Community in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
