Preview: Centreville Wildcats vs. Potomac School Panthers
The Centreville Wildcats will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Potomac School Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Centreville will be strutting in after a victory while Potomac School will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Centreville earned a 61-48 victory over Washington-Liberty. Given Centreville's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Washington-Liberty is ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Potomac School pushed their score all the way to 68 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Shabach Christian Academy at home by a decisive 84-68 margin. It was the first time this season that Potomac School let down their fans at home.
The losing side was boosted by Sabrina Anderson, who scored 27 points. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for her. Catherine Letendre was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Centreville's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Potomac School, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
