Recap: South Summit Wildcats vs. American Heritage Patriots
The South Summit Wildcats put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against American Heritage by a score of 66-58. Given South Summit's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while American Heritage is ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Logan Woolstenhulme was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Gage Mckee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
South Summit pushed their record up to 15-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for American Heritage, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Summit will take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Grantsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for American Heritage, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
