Soccer Recap: Owen Victorious

Owen's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Draughn Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in March.

Sadie Lyda and Lily Berry scored all three of Owen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

The win got Owen back to even at 5-5-1. As for Draughn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen will take on Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Owen are facing Mitchell at the right time seeing as Mitchell are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Draughn, they will square off against Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Draughn will need to watch out since Madison have now posted at least four goals in their last three games.
