Basketball Recap: Restoration Academy Comes Up Short

Restoration Academy lost against Bessemer Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Restoration Academy had to suffer through a 74-31 loss at the hands of the Bessemer Academy Rebels. While losing is never fun, Restoration Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Bessemer Academy is ranked 75th).

Bessemer Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Thompson out in front who posted 16 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rinehart, who put up eight points and eight steals.

Restoration Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Bessemer Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Restoration Academy nor Bessemer Academy have any future games scheduled.
