Wood County Christian is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Grace Christian last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wood County Christian came up short against Grace Christian, falling 49-29.

Meanwhile, Victory Baptist Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 41-15 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-6.

Victory Baptist Academy's win came from a few key players Wood County Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaydan Mooney, who posted seven points and eight rebounds. Sydney Thomas was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Victory Baptist Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points over those games. As for Wood County Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Wood County Christian and Victory Baptist Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2019, but Wood County Christian came up empty-handed after a 36-35 defeat.
