Softball Recap: Bonny Eagle Scots vs. Massabesic Mustangs
After flying high against Falmouth last Wednesday, Bonny Eagle came back down to earth. The Bonny Eagle Scots fell just short of the Massabesic Mustangs by a score of 13-12 on Friday. Bonny Eagle has not had much luck with Massabesic recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lealea Canading led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madison Weeks, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
On Massabesic's side, Devenny Brickett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Emelia Theriault was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Bonny Eagle now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Massabesic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
