Flagler has gone 6-1 against Deer Trail recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Flagler Panthers will challenge the Deer Trail Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Neither Flagler nor Deer Trail posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Flagler is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Arickaree on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Flagler took a blow against Arickaree, falling 59-30. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bison: they've now lost three in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Zaniel Salee, who posted seven points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Keegan Isenbart, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Deer Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Lone Star 61-19. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.

Flagler's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Deer Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Flagler against Deer Trail when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 55-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flagler since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
