Baseball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Kamiak will face off against Glacier Peak. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kamiak will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Last Monday, Kamiak beat Glacier Peak 6-2.

Andrew Fetty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

In other pitching news, Joe Estes looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Kamiak: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 3-4 otherwise.

Fetty wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Bovey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Tyler Spaulding also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Glacier Peak's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Kamiak, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
