Football Recap: Ste. Genevieve Has No Trouble Against University City

Ste. Genevieve gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They enjoyed a cozy 27-13 win over the University City Lions. That's two games straight that the Dragons have won by exactly 14 points.

Luke Ferranto had a dynamite game, rushing for 136 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 101 yards on eight of 13 attempts. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 128 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Ste. Genevieve has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.0 points this season. As for University City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ste. Genevieve will head out to challenge Kennett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University City, they will challenge Fort Zumwalt East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
