Recap: Lewistown Indians vs. Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats
With a playoff game on the line, the Lewistown Indians rose to the challenge on Monday. They escaped with a win against the Wildcats by the margin of a single free throw, 48-47. The win was familiar territory for Lewistown who now have seven in a row.
Abby Wiegand was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Landry Smith, who scored nine points along with six assists and four steals.
Lewistown has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
