Basketball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Foothill played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 70-42 defeat at the hands of the Liberty Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost eight in a row.

Foothill's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clinton Ezugha, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Mudd Comtois, who scored seven points and three steals.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daaron Thompkins, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Tayshawn Caesar was another key player, going 7-for-15 to rack up 19 points and four steals.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Liberty, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will host Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Blue Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Liberty, they will be home for the holidays to greet Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
