Basketball Recap: Ripon Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mountain House + How To Watch

Ripon Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 78-52 to the Mountain House Mustangs on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Despite the loss, Ripon Christian still got an impressive performance from Jake Vander Veen, who posted 22 points. The game was Vander Veen's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Bunnell, who earned six points.

Jordan Williams was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-14 on his way to 26 points for Mountain House. Thanks to that strong game, Williams now owns an excellent 46.3% shooting accuracy. Ryan Payton was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The win got Mountain House back to even at 2-2.

Ripon Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-55 victory against Big Valley Christian on the 4th. As for Mountain House, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-38 win against Chavez on the 4th.
