Volleyball Recap: Deer Valley Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Deer Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lee Williams on Wednesday. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Volunteers with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Skyhawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Deer Valley took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-2.

Casian Zirbo paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Zirbo got some help from Heath McPherson and his 27 assists. Drew Olson controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

As for Lee Williams, they will challenge Prescott at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Volunteers surely won't give up without a fight.
