Softball Game Preview: Edwards County Lions vs. Flora Wolves

For the second straight game, Edwards County will face off against Flora. The Lions will head out to face off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Edwards County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Edwards County is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Flora just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2.

Allison Groff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, Grace Bishop was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Edwards County's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Flora, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
