Redwood Christian proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Head-Royce Jayhawks, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 30, 2024.

Rachel Hendren was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lulu Pineda, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Redwood Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. Head-Royce now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Redwood Christian will square off against Lick-Wilmerding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Redwood Christian is facing Lick-Wilmerding at the right time seeing as Lick-Wilmerding is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Head-Royce, they will head out on the road to square off against California School for the Deaf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
