Football Game Preview: Longmont Trojans vs. Grand Junction Central Warriors

The Longmont Trojans will face off against the Grand Junction Central Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Longmont managed to keep up with Skyline until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trojans came up short against the Falcons, falling 55-33. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Longmont saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Foot rushed for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction Central played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Broomfield and fell 56-20. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.

Grand Junction Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Longmont, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.
