Recap: Bogota Buccaneers vs. New Milford Knights

If the Bogota Buccaneers were feeling good off their 68-32 takedown of the Palisades Park Tigers on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bogota opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-55 loss to New Milford. While losing is never fun, Bogota can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while New Milford is ranked 132nd).

Luis Placido continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for New Milford, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Placido's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dariel Liranzo, who scored 14 points.

Bogota's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for New Milford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
