Recap: Batesville Bulldogs vs. South Dearborn Knights

With a playoff game on the line, the Batesville Bulldogs rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They snuck past the Knights with a 49-45 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Batesville who now have seven in a row.

Batesville was led to victory by Cade Kaiser and Jack Grunkemeyer. Kaiser scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Grunkemeyer scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gus Prickel, who scored six points along with three steals.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hudson Shackelford, who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds. Conor Huff was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Batesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for South Dearborn, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
