Softball Recap: West Limestone's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 11

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Limestone walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Westminster Christian Academy on Tuesday. Considering West Limestone has won 27 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Katie Lyn Kyle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.

On the hitting side, Brylie Posey was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilly Bethune, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one triple.

The win (which was West Limestone's 11th in a row) raised their record to 41-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they moved to 15-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither West Limestone nor Westminster Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
