Volleyball Preview: Van Vandals vs. Mabank Panthers
On Tuesday Van will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will challenge the Mabank Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Van lost 3-0 to Lindale on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vandals have suffered against the Eagles since August 21, 2020.

Van's loss came about despite a quality game from Averi Crouch, who had 12 digs.
Meanwhile, Mabank didn't have quite enough to beat Ferris on Tuesday and fell 3-2.
Mabank took Ferris into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 26-28, 25-21, 27-25, 24-26, 15-12.
Mabank's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lindsey Cope, who had 22 digs, 11 kills, and four aces, and Khilyn Wilkinson, who had 28 digs. The dominant performance gave Cope a new career-high in aces.
Van's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9. As for Mabank, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
