Basketball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Neumann Regional Academy came into Saturday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Bucktail Bucks out 61-59. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but the Golden Knights were the better team in the second half.

Neumann Regional Academy's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daiton Thompson, who posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Walter, who put up 15 points.

Neumann Regional Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bucktail, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Neumann Regional Academy will finish 2024 at home by hosting Wellsboro at 7:15 p.m. on December 30th. As for Bucktail, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northern Potter at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Bucktail is facing Northern Potter at the right time seeing as Northern Potter is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
