Football Recap: Gateway Charter Comes Up Short

Gateway Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Evangelical Christian Sentinels 42-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Griffins of the 52-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Gateway Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Evangelical Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Gateway Charter will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Boca Raton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Evangelical Christian, they have already played their next match, a 46-7 loss against Northside Christian on the 19th.
