Basketball Recap: Achievement First Providence Takes a Loss

Achievement First Providence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 48-18 loss at the hands of the Pilgrim Patriots.

Among those leading the charge was Madison Tuirok, who made all 7 shots she took to post 20 points. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Natalie Fratus, who posted nine points.

Achievement First Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pilgrim, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Achievement First Providence has already played their next matchup, a 45-18 loss against Providence Country Day on the 9th. As for Pilgrim, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-26 victory against Times Squared Academy on the 10th.
