Basketball Recap: Boyd County Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Carter last Tuesday, Boyd County came back down to earth. The Boyd County Lions fell just short of the Menifee County Wildcats by a score of 63-60 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since December 27, 2023.

Boyd County's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Menifee County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyd County will venture away from home to take on Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Menifee County, they will challenge Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
