Baseball Recap: Kouts Starts Season with Win Against Michigan City

Kouts had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Michigan City Wolves by a score of 14-10. For the Mustangs & Fillies, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 victory the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.

The team relied heavily on Eli Harper, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cooper Whitaker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one double.

Coming up, Kouts will challenge Mishawaka Marian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Michigan City, they will face off against New Prairie at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
