Soccer Recap: Marlin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Harmony Science Academy last Friday, Marlin came back down to earth. The Marlin Bulldogs lost 5-1 to the Robinson Rockets on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Marlin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-2. As for Robinson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

The future could be bright for both Marlin and Robinson: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Marlin will look to extend Connally's three-game losing streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Robinson will try to hand Meyer their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
