After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Whitney, Atascadero was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lemoore Tigers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Greyhounds have posted since February 28th.
Atascadero got a big performance out of Brooklyn Martin, who scored a run while going 3-for-5. Martin also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Haidyn Cooks was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Atascadero was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Atascadero's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Lemoore, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15-1.
