Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg came out on top against Mattoon on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg never let Mattoon get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Kendra Hayes and Samantha Hayes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hayes pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Samantha struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Hayes went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Samantha went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg got a massive performance out of Mya Friese, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Friese also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Cameron Carey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mattoon only posted an OBP of .222.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's record now sits at 14-2. As for Mattoon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
