Benicia won the last time they faced Miramonte and things went their way on Thursday too. Benicia blew past Miramonte 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

One reason for the win was Benicia's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-9.

Leading Benicia to victory were Nicholas Cuellar and Duncan Seeley. Cuellar had ten digs, while Seeley had eight digs. That's the most digs Seeley has posted over his last nine matches.

Benicia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10. As for Miramonte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Benicia will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Diablo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Benicia is facing Mt. Diablo at the right time seeing as Mt. Diablo is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Miramonte, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oakland at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
