Basketball Recap: Wirt County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wirt County can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 55-22 loss at the hands of the Tug Valley Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 74 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bailee Hall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tug Valley, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. Hall has been hot, having posted 14 or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Browning, who posted ten points and five steals.

Wirt County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Tug Valley, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Wirt County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tug Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-26 victory against Wahama on the 5th.
