Baseball Recap: Westampton Tech Victorious

While Westampton Tech's win against Burlington City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 11-10. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westampton Tech got a massive performance out of Jeret Torres, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. Torres has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Quamere Christie, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The win got Westampton Tech back to even at 3-3. As for Burlington City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Westampton Tech will host Moorestown Friends at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burlington City, they will head out to take on Medford Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
