Volleyball Recap: Sabinal Comes Up Short

Sabinal lost against San Antonio Memorial back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets lost 3-0 to the Minutemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered since November 5, 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.

Miranda Belmarez was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Sabinal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for San Antonio Memorial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sabinal will challenge Center Point at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Antonio Memorial, they will welcome Long Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Minutemen are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
