Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Gilead Indians vs. Crestline Bulldogs

The Mt. Gilead Indians will challenge the Crestline Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mt. Gilead lost 13-4 to Fredericktown on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Crestline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Central Christian, falling 13-7.

Crestline saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Hefner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Hefner also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Adam Burton was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Mt. Gilead's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Crestline, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Mt. Gilead took their win against Crestline when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
