Baseball Recap: American Heritage Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact American Heritage can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the North Broward Prep Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Stallions have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Brady Snow was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Ricky Bellantoni made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Evan Fernandez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for North Broward Prep, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home.

American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Broward Prep, they will host Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
