It was a good run, but Plainwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Edwardsburg Eddies by a score of 3-2. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eddies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Plainwell's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Edwardsburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. After both having extra time off, Plainwell and Sturgis will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edwardsburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Notre Dame Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
