The Cardinal Spellman Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Southeastern RVT Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Spellman is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Cardinal Spellman didn't have quite enough to beat St. Mary's and fell 5-4.

Tyler Alsen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. John Petruzzo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Southeastern RVT had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Tri-County RVT by a score of 10-5 on Wednesday. That looming 10-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

Cardinal Spellman's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Southeastern RVT, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-8.

Everything went Cardinal Spellman's way against Southeastern RVT in their previous matchup back in April, as Cardinal Spellman made off with an 18-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
