Basketball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Genoa Christian Academy had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Cayden Cox did his part to make it five on Friday. The Lions blew past the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles, posting a 92-22 win with plenty of help from Cox, who shot 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points. He also posted an assist, marking his first of the season.

Another player making a difference was Brooks Norman, who posted eight points along with nine assists and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 50% field goal percentage.

The victory got Genoa Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Genoa Christian Academy and Liberty Christian Academy will both be playing Delaware Christian the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
