Basketball Recap: Isaac Weatherred's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Patrick Henry over Camarillo

Patrick Henry saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 49-38 to the Camarillo Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Scorpions are ranked 40th).

Patrick Henry's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Weatherred, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sami Tabar, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Patrick Henry and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Camarillo, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Patrick Henry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-55 defeat against Corona del Mar on the 28th. As for Camarillo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-33 victory against Mercer Island on the 28th.
