Baseball Recap: Ridgedale Takes a Loss

Ridgedale lost against Hardin Northern back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rockets lost 14-4 to the Polar Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by exactly ten runs.

Gabe Malo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ayden Salyer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Ridgedale and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Hardin Northern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Ridgedale has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against North Baltimore on the 22nd. As for Hardin Northern, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Ridgemont on the 22nd.
