Football Recap: Abernathy Takes a Loss

Abernathy blew New Deal out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday New Deal got their revenge. The Antelopes fell just short of the Lions by a score of 26-24. The Antelopes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abernathy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New Deal, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Abernathy will square off against rival Floydada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Deal is set to challenge their familiar foe Olton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
