Football Recap: Buchholz Skates Past Newberry with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Buchholz faced off against Newberry on Wednesday. The Bobcats blew past the Panthers 34-6. Considering the Bobcats have won seven contests by more than 22 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Buchholz didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Taylor Booth picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Buchholz pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Newberry, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Buchholz does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they will square off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
