Volleyball Game Preview: Livermore Cowboys vs. Foothill Falcons

Livermore hasn't had much luck against Foothill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cowboys will challenge the Falcons at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Livermore didn't have quite enough to beat Dublin and fell 3-2.

Livermore actually scored more points across those five sets (107-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Livermore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samuel Walter had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Walter.

De La Salle typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Foothill proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

While Foothill might've won, it sure wasn't easy: De La Salle scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.

Livermore's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Foothill, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Livermore suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Foothill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
