While Fremont might've come up empty on Tuesday, Chase Jones wasn't going down without a fight. Jones tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. The performance marked the fewest hits he has had since back in May of 2024.

Even though Jones couldn't lead Fremont over Davis, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
