Softball Recap: Reynolds Raiders vs. Gresham Gophers
Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 23-1 to the Gresham Gophers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Reynolds of the 14-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For Gresham's part, Alyssa Grover was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Grover was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all two of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on La Terra Foster-Frison, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Suntaya Riddle was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
