Softball Recap: Milan Wildcats vs. Linn County Mustangs        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Brookfield, Milan was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Linn County Mustangs  a   15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Emerson Pauley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Pauley was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Avery Sayre was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Amber Sayre, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Milan was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .625. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 The  win snapped Milan's winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 13-11 record. As for Linn County,  they are  on  a  20-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will head out to  square off against Schuyler County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Linn County, they will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Mercer at 5:30  p.m.
