Volleyball Recap: ABBY DEERING Key Part of Team Effort in Raiders Win

Jefferson Davis Academy won the last time they faced Mead Hall Episcopal School and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14.

Jefferson Davis Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was ABBY DEERING out in front who had nine digs and eight kills. DEERING is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was MATTIE MORRIS, who had 17 kills, ten digs, and three aces.

Jefferson Davis Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Jefferson Davis Academy will welcome Andrew Jackson Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they will head out to take on King Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
